The challenge
Give developers a practical example of activities people can enjoy together in mixed reality.
The work
As part of Mixed Reality Motifs, we led work on Shared Activities: Unity samples for chess and movie co-watching. The samples bring networked avatars and shared interaction together around activities people can understand immediately. Working scenes and developer guidance connect the experience to its implementation, giving teams something concrete to study and build on.
The samples use two different activities to make shared interaction tangible: playing a game together and watching media together. Both combine the sense of another person being present with content that participants can experience in common.

The result
