Spatial & Immersive Experiences

From a character in your living room to a cinema that surrounds you. We explore how space, perception and interaction can make an experience feel natural.

Spatial development connects what a device can understand with what a person can do. Camera access, room geometry, interaction and media timing all shape the experience. The work below explores those connections through runnable samples and focused prototypes.

Read the room

Turn camera frames and spatial information into useful behaviour. A colour, a surface or a position becomes something an application can respond to.

Make behaviour legible

Use movement, gaze, scale and feedback to communicate intent. The goal is an interaction people can understand by trying it.

Go beyond the screen

Explore how video, audio and 3D content can occupy the same room and timeline, while keeping the original experience coherent.

01 Blossom Buddy

A hands-on Meta Connect 2025 showcase for the new AI Building Blocks in Meta’s XR SDK for Unity.

Our contribution

We built the complete technical showcase and integrated the AI Building Blocks into a playful mixed reality experience. We presented the implementation alongside Dilmer Valecillos and Jake Steinerman in the Connect developer sessions. The same experience ran at the Passthrough Experiences demo kiosk, where attendees could try the capabilities hands-on.

02 Meta Quest Passthrough Camera API

Helping bring developer camera access to Quest, from early prototypes to Unity integration.

Our contribution

Our team at Meta Reality Labs championed developer camera access, secured leadership support and helped move the Passthrough Camera API into development. The team built the Unity integration. Our individual contribution focused on early prototypes and hands-on integration feedback. We also created QuestCameraKit independently, extending the API with open-source examples for colour sampling, QR detection and computer vision.

03 XR Pro Player

Our contribution

We led the project and brought another expert on board. Together, we built a custom backend to stream videos to Quest, used AVPro Video for playback in Unity, and synchronized immersive effects with Unity Timeline. Curated scenes from several films formed the showcase.

04 visionOS Apps & Experiences

Discovering spatial computing through an early football statistics app and an Apple workshop train diorama.

Our contribution

As soon as the first visionOS simulator beta became available on Mac, we built a football statistics prototype to explore the new platform. It presented Serie A standings, goal scorers and league tables in a spatial interface. Later, at an Apple Vision Pro workshop in Paris in January 2025, we built a native train diorama to explore scene layout, materials and spatial interaction.
